The participation in a competitive call for local actions aimed at improving the natural capital, has given the opportunity to rethink and design the low-plain landscape of the Bergamo province. The project, called Arco Blu, crosses the boundaries of the municipalities and tests new ways of governing. Based on a pragmatic approach, it reassembles a number of local environmental projects by adapting them to the frame of a new ecological spatial layout. In order to integrate single fragmented actions, the project modifies and enlarges them, while extending the responsibility of each promoting administration. This collaborative project aims at creating both immediate results, and the conditions for a consistent long-term vision driven by the quality and ecologic performances of landscape.
