The sociology of peace processes is an underdeveloped field of study that holds enormous potential for understanding the nature and dynamics of post-conflict societies. Starting with the discipline’s main contributions on the subject, the author examines the pioneering work of J. D. Brewer, who developed an interesting sociological approach to the study of peace processes.
Keywords: sociology; peace process; post-conflict; positive peace; post-violence; communal violence.
