On September 12th, the AIA International Workshop, "Classroom Noise: A Research Update," was held in Padua at the Archivio Antico of Palazzo Bo, home of the University of Padua. The workshop was organised by the Acoustical Society of Italy (AIA), in collaboration with the University of Padua, the University of Ferrara, and the Iuav University of Venice.

 This article summarises its technical-scientific contents and main purpose.
