Le relazioni friends with benefits sono rapporti d’amicizia caratterizzati dalla componente sessuale e rappresentano un fenomeno largamente diffuso nell’attuale panorama relazionale. L’obiettivo del presente lavoro è offrire una rassegna sull’argomento al fine di approfondire la conoscenza delle caratteristiche di queste relazioni. È stata operata una ricerca sistematica degli articoli scientifici pubblicati negli ultimi 15 anni inerenti all’argomento indagato mediante Pubmed e PsychInfo. Gli argomenti trattati nella rassegna riguardano incidenza, frequenza e qualità delle relazioni friends with benefits, soddisfazione emotiva e sessuale, grado di impegno, vantaggi e svantaggi, differenze e somiglianze di genere. Sono auspicabili futuri approfondimenti al fine di poter disporre di ulteriori dati circa gli elementi di criticità e le risorse di queste relazioni per poter intervenire sulle possibili implicazioni psico-sessuologiche.;
