The aim of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge of the main economic aspects of the contemporary art market, in light of the changes taking place. More specifically, the research has focused on the analysis of organizational structures and in particular on the study of the evolutionary dynamics that have been characterized the contemporary art market in the last fifteen years. The paper introduces and presents the research results of a group of university professors and highly qualified professionals, who leveraging a considerable wealth of knowledge in the field of economics, art law and art tax, have made a significant contribution to the definition of the characteristics of a complex industry and continually changing
