The article describes the three-year experience in the development of educational information groups within the Casa Circondariale of Bergamo. This initiative, initially designed to convey information on social and health activities inside the prison, highlighted how the group can become an instrument of empowerment for the population in prison. In fact, the group has become not only an information tool but a proactive, propositive and critical review hearing and has made it possible to improve the adequacy of the requests that come to the healthcare staff.
