The paper aims at analyzing the case of the Margaritelli group, a multi-business enterprise operating in a range of areas, from wood flooring to railway sleepers and industrial vehicles. In particular, the aim of this study is to identify the effects of the international crisis and verify the capability of the enterprise to change its business model. The results show that the crisis caused economic negative effects. At the same time, it was also the antecedent to pursue new innovation and internationalization strategies and to define a new corporate governance organization.
