First of all it is important to have good transport connections to guarantee the mobility of tourism. Good transport connections at a convenient price is an essen-tial element to further the inbound tourism. Tourists are able to search the internet and find direct flights which are more likely to interest tourists in visiting other cities. In accordance with IATA, the direct flight connection has more than doubled with 20,000 city-pair flights. The cost of these flights is less than half the price it was 20 years ago. This chapter presents the data of the Italian airports and puts evidence to the im-portance of direct flight connections to promote the south of Italy as a tourist des-tination.
