Though research on the issue of corporate social responsibility has come to a state of ripeness, we know little about the internal organization of CSR programs and activities. This may be called the backstage of CSR and it represents a sort of dark side of this concept. This article provides an insight on this backstage, arguing that its exploration may offer a detailed view on the meanings organizations attach to the notion of CSR, apart from the external representation they give to this concept.
