Bibliographical Dossier - Among the multiple tasks that museum management entails, the way in which objects are exhibited is considered a major concern. The Bibliographical Dossier, stemmed from the acknowledgement of this priority, is made of five sections: historical perspective of temporary exhibitions; philosophy of exhibitions; content of temporary exhibitions; exhibitions’ technical aspects; social dimension of exhibitions. An international group of students of the course of Museology at École du Louvre worked a year, under the guidance of Marie-Clarté O’Neill, to choose and analyse a number of essays for each section. Of course the Dossier cannot considered as exhaustive, but it is a first attempt to explore and organise from different points of view a very complex, rich and interdisciplinary field of research. Key words Exhibition, museum, public, educational communication, cultural mediation.
