<em>Teacher competencies and curriculum greening: travel companions on the way to sustainability</em> - In the current context of education is essential to consider curriculum greening processes in schools that allow address it towards sustainability. These processes require, on the part of teachers, the mobilization of key professional competences. This paper describes the relationship between curriculum greening and two competencies that are considered key to approach this process. These competences are referred to as: environmental competency and competency in a critical and effective integration of ICT. Also, the skills that build each of these competences are defined. It is intended to provide contributions to the existing debate both in the field of professional competence and in the matter of education for sustainability.
