Why a Psycho-socio-analytical research on learning?. This opening article aims to outline a preliminary frame of the research on learning carried out by an Ariele’s research team. Roots and reasons of the interest of going deeply through a matter that is the core of the "primary task" of Ariele and its school are reconstructed in these pages, most of them are dedicated to the summing up of the research development process, its steps and the working hypotheses that lead the researchers, and the methodological choices (the most important was about the technique of the individual interview, conducted accordino to psychosocial- analytical approach, in order to get coherence and effectiveness in the researching work and in data exploitation).
