From 1945 until nowadays, our societies and our collective imaginary are deeply changed. And the way is also changed to mean the boundless violence entered in the history with the bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that in the meantime proliferated. The postwar imaginary, characterized by expectations of strong social integration and by a protective relationship, "pater-maternal", between individuals and institutions, has been followed by the imaginary of the years ’60 and ’70, characterized by the spread of "filial" desires of independence and of freedom. Beginning from the first years ’80, the libertarian push has been incorporated, transformed and sublimed by the "neoliberal" imaginary one of the techno-nihilist capitalism (Magatti). With this entirely new social configuration, characterized by the convergence of the libertarian pushes - radically individualized, fragmented and aesthetized ("cynical enjoyment": "i"ek) - and of the technological apparatuses developed in all the spheres of the life, included that military one, yet mightily nuclearized, the nihilism prophesied by Nietzsche has the tendency to permeate the collective imaginary. In our relationships, from the international to the interpersonal level, a new challenge emerges: the challenge of the fraternity. The challenge of the mutual recognition between the "children" in exit - desirably - from adolescence.
