The Author presents the history of the "Antonio Marro" boardingschool founded in 1921, part of the psychiatric hospital "San Lazzaro", in Reggio Emilia, Italy. This special boarding-school admitted children with mental and cognitive disorders. Its policy was based on the concept of amendable prognosis.
