When dealing with sex offenders, a coerced approach to treatment is the only way to foster motivation to change: because of the infamating nature of the crime, but mostly because of the structure of the personality of these subjects, often deformed by early wounds of the attachment, undermining the development of the reflexive function. The treatments for sex offenders generally have a CBT approach. This chapter describes the model adopted by the CIPM’s team to treat sex offenders, both inmates (within the "Casa di Reclusione di Milano-Bollate") and outpatients, at the "Presidio Criminologico" of Milan. The peculiarities of the therapeutical work with these subjects is analysed, and the relationship with the Justice’s organisations (Magistratura di Sorveglianza, UEPE, Prison institution) as well.
