Law and psychiatry, for at least a century and a half, have shared a common boundary. The two fields of knowledge, very different and often at odds - due to this common boundary - have had to build and maintain mutual connections. The Author, making use of the thematic space existing between law and psychiatry, and taking into account past historical facts, visualizes future alternatives. The article presents a number of apodictic observations that are discussed following a rhapsodic structure - a single musical movement, that combines different, and even non homogeneous, themes.
