The creation of new business models seems to be defined as the main effect of a global crisis that has deconstructed the traditional economies based on the industrialization process, requiring the comparison of businesses on a more competitive market. In view of the changing political and socio-economic scenarios, characterized both of the space-time destabilization and of an ever more pervasive information and communication technology, firms change character and to do it well they need to capture the 'innovation, beyond the classical product - process meanings. Therefore, the proposed study attempts to investigate innovation as a cognitive process of reconstruction of the think-act perspective. This perspective is related to the rethinking of the main ways in which companies redefine markets, in terms of problem solving, organization, leadership and communication, that are the cross-skills able to orient the complex decision making process of firms. In this perspective, authors propose the "easy-inn" factor, synthesis between innovation and simplicity, as the empowerment catalyst for innovative firms. This factor represent an essential combination to curb the race to complication. The complication hinders the firms possibility to obtain performing results, discouraging thresholds efficiency and effectiveness, and slowing the achievement of excellence in respective sectors. The study finally, through a case study, intend to facilitate reflection on the necessity of creating new business models that promote the firm activity in the dual perspective of competitiveness and consonance. All in the broader scheme of individuals-businesses-territories.
