Crime is a natural event of the world and classical investigation tries to reconstruct facts as historical ones. Technological evolution overlaps to the natural world a virtual world, so classical investigation has inevitably to get beside itself telematics or digital investigation. Virtual crime scene is made of microprocessors, softwares, memory ram docks, which have to be investigated with specific techniques. Technology is not only the object of investigation, but it may become a way of investigation: it’s the computer forensics era.
