The article describes a large case of urban energy retrofit. The project chain that leads to the implementation of interventions is described and the mechanisms of governance that led to overcome the traditional fragmentation of retrofits are highlighted. In the first part, the author describes the reasons that pushed to choose this district as a case study and the general context in which a series of energy retrofit projects are developed; in the second part, the article describes the concrete actions, highlighting how they are concatenated into a single plan of urban transformation; in the third part, some theoretical elements that can help to generalize the case study will be provided.
