In this contribution, which focuses on Pied-Noir and Jewish exiles from Algeria to France in 1962, the author aims to analyse the peculiarities of this migration: Pied-Noir, Jewish and Harki migrants are considered to be rapatriés, although their native country is Algeria. The exile represents a predominant topic in Pied-Noir and Jewish literature, so the author introduces a comparative analysis between the Pied-Noir writer Alain Vircondelet and Albert Bensoussan, one of the most important exponents of the Judeo-Maghrebian literature nowadays.
Keywords: Algeria, Pieds-Noirs, Algerian Jewish, Harkis, Pied-Noir literature, Judeo-Maghrebian literature.
