The article describes the implications of the isomorphism postulate and the indissoluble body-mind-environment unity on the phenomenological research, in which theory is linked to experience, starting from the concreteness of body experience. The preliminary results of a study involving patients with tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy (a syndrome of acute heart failure induced by stress) are shown. The methodology applied to the study shows how phenomenological qualitative and quantitative elements (Rorschach test) and mechanisms involved in the disease, are complementary.
Keywords: Isomorphism, phenomenology, holism, body, tako-tsubo, Rorschach test, perception.
