This article provides a summary of a work consisting in leading a group therapy mediation in a residential therapeutic community that welcomes patients with psychiatric disorders.The goal is to highlight two aspects which characterized this experience. On one hand the use of photography as a mediating tool, according to the modalities inspired by Photolangage. On the other the use of the network scheme. For this purpose we will show some clinical vignettes and examples. The premise is that it is possible to develop and enrich words through the mediation of images, especially when words are lacking or insufficient, as it happens with patients who have difficulties to symbolize. The other aspect that we want to draw attention to is the use of the network scheme as a different modality for clinical interviews and as an indicator of therapeutic efficiency.
