Giulio Ricciarelli’s movie, Il labirinto del silenzio, tells about three German attorneys investigating on crimes committed in Auschwitz. The investigation culminated in a trial held in Frankfurt from 20 December 1963 to 20 August 1965, where 22 men were tried for the crimes committed at Auschwitz. In the foreground the dense network of omissions, reticence and fears within which hides the deep trauma of a country.
