Inequalities between standard and atypical workers are traditionally observed in labor relations, in the wage and in the working time. Over the last three decades, however, the change in the contractual regimes in Italy led to a further inequality in access to social protection for the atypical workers inclusive for their future retirement benefits. This last aspect is particularly problematic for the prevalence of low wages in the non-standard employment, for intermittent work and more general, such as for those who entered the labor market after the first half of the 90s, for passing from a pay system to an entirely contributory and for the difficulties of access to supplementary pension schemes. The aim of the article is to analyse the evolution of these inequalities to understand if it is in progress their reduction or their consolidation.
Keywords: Inequalities, atypical work, social security, job insecurity
