This article explores, through an experience of photovoice, the construct of "home" in homeless who are guests in the program "La strada verso casa". The program, started in the city of Padua, fits in the Network Housing First Italy and drawing on the principles of the model, offers a home to homeless people and accompanies them in a path for social reintegration and autonomy. The study has enabled us, through the use of the photograph, to activate a process of empowerment, in which the guests are the actors by developing a sense of belonging. The results of the study emphasize the importance of the house as an element of security for your personal identity.
Keywords: Empowerment, participation, photovoice, Housing first, homelessness, "home".
