In recent years, the literature on social housing has increased significantly, but often it has not critically examined some of the key concepts on which this kind of private building is legitimate. This paper follows a reverse path in order to provide elements of deconstruction of the discourse on social housing making it possible to understand whether and how this phenomenon responds primarily to a demand of re-positioning of the old and new players of the real estate market facing the crisis.
Keywords: Social housing; real estate investment funds; public policies
