The author aims at analysing the new urban geography of Paris through the analysis of its real estate market. In particular, she investigates the dynamics that are reshaping the dialectics between centre and periphery in the whole metropolitan agglomeration. They are fuelled by the social and urban redevelopment in some central areas, the related growing social polarization, as well as the difficulties of the logement social, in some ways inadequate due to the current socio-economic crisis.
