This paper aims to reflect upon the value of education for the "migration sons" in the time of crisis. Analyzing several biographies of young people from immigrant origins living in Campania and mainly the parts of narratives where they dwell upon the future placement in the labour market, we tried to explore the relationships between qualification in Italy and the migration project of these young. In this perspective, we wondered if attending school in this country can be seen as a good predictor of the processes of stabilization of these young from foreign origins, or on the contrary, the "myth of return" is still crucial for structuring their life paths, as it was in the past. But referring to the point, our research has highlighted what can be said as a meaninglessness of the place where people live in. In a way close with the transnational migration model, which seems to overcome the old idea of a moving "from-to", for these young the choice of country where living seems to depend on the real possibilities to have a good life. And it is about the actual chances they have of pursuing their purposes that our country needs to wonder. .
