The author presents a case of post-operative care on a patient victim of a disorganized and chaotic family relationship that prevented a balanced emotional growth. While her mother represents the patient’s only object of love, she commits matricide. Even though the tragedy has taken place, the empathic listening allows, at least in part, compensation for the absolute and traumatic absence of affective nutrition inside the patient's inner world.
