It is not easy to identify the correct direction for orienting oneself in the semantic spaces delineated by the words theology, dogma, religion and faith on the one hand, and philosophy on the other; it is no simpler feat to identify that which may assure the orthotes (correctness) of the path that serves to explore these complex families of concepts. Hence I begin my considerations of the relationship between dogma/religious freedom by entrusting myself to a modern path rooted in a few reflections by Spinoza, to arrive at the philosophy of religion of Lessing. The latter offers an important point of reference for the process of the secularisation of the religious, which may assist a critical reading of the religious fanaticisms emerging today in the struggle for the power.
Keywords: God, Community, Obedience, Justice, Laicality, Pietas.
