This article is the transcript of a dialogue between Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb and Michela Marzano on a current challenge being addressed by contemporary theoreticians, clinicians, politicians, and philosophers: the condition of teenagers in post-modern society. Two significant voices in the current psychological and philosophical landscape approach and meet one another on the common path of the importance of relationships. Interest in the body and in the other, both constituting identity, establishes the ground that orients and crosses all dialogue. As they look at present teenagers’ reality the authors find themselves on topics such as desensitization, gender, extreme behavior, parental inadequacy, and the role of educational institutions.
