Data and views discussed in this paper are the result of a series of talks, interviews and train-ing courses organized and recognized by CME credits, carried out in different periods (2003-2006-2012) in the hospitals of Chieti, Ortona and Lanciano. The researcher carried out periodically participant observation in hospital wards and organized talks and interviews with doctors and nurses. These contacts were preparatory to an analysis of the training needs. The emerged considerations were fundamental to update the ECM training courses on the following topics: organizational communication, negotiation, physician-nurse-patient relationship. Paper offer strategic tips under the theoretical perspective of relational sociology, integrated with the axioms of communication from Palo Alto School and Rogers’s Counseling.
