Psycholanalytical Family Therapy (TFP) is a groupal psychoanalysis of a suffering family. The group situation and the psychoanalytical conditions proposed make the therapeutic group, the neo-group, a place for recovery and for the processing of what is out of the family’s reach and alienates its members. Starting from the works of Kaes, Avron, Puget and from the contribution of many family psychoanalysts, the author proposes an approach to the processes and the challenges of the neo-group system.
