A more than twenty-year journey through teaching methods for students and training courses for teaching staff leads the author to define the art of narration as a true and characteristic didactic methodology to utilize in the teaching-learning process in school in the pro-gramming of structural intervention, with the idea, also, of support to the difficulties in learning. This not only to better linguistic skills, but also for the interdisciplinary potential that the narration offers; without taking into account that this involves the storyteller and the listeners in a sort of empathetic circle - The narration contributes to the development of language, but, above all, producing a sense of pleasure. It’s not explainable why teachers even today have a certain distrustfulness in evaluating this approach as an added value to teaching methods.
Keywords: Storytelling, narratology, narrative teaching, empathic teaching approach, net-worked knowledge, Fabulandia.
