This article aims to describe the phenomenon of enterprises recovered by their workers, who autonomously restart production processes which have been interrupted by the economic and financial crisis, by acquiring the cooperative ownership of failed enterprises. Empirical research shows that Imprese Recuperate (IR) are experimental mechanisms of social, territorial and economic resilience to the breakdown and to the insecurity generated by the new dynamics of reticular capitalism.
Keywords: Workers buy out, spatial relationality by workers, experimental mechanisms of social and economic resilience, mutualism, enterprises recovered by their workers, democratic management and producer cooperatives
