Some peculiar characteristics of evolutionary psychology are underlined, and a special focus is given to the form it assumes in Gianni Liotti’s view. His perspective was exquisitely relational which was applied also to the concept of innatism. In the paper, some similarities and differences are highlighted and compared with the psychoanalytic tradition, both Freudian and Jungian.
