The aim of the essay is to demonstrate that kelsenian theory of norms is stronger than its criticisms. After a comparison with the “repeatable thesis” of norms offered by Vezio Crisafulli, the investigation will analyse different types of legal norm, such as principles, programmatic norms, rules of change, whose conformity to kelsenian theory seems questionable.
