The goal of this work is to provide a case study about the experience of setting up and launch of a territorial collective private health insurance in the autonomous province of Bolzano. To do this, after having introduced the context of the integrative health care in Italy and the reality of the Province of Bolzano, the authors will retrace the different steps of needs analysis, design, creation and then Sanifonds fund startup. All this allows to get into the "black box" of a collective private health insurance police illustrating not only the operational aspects, but also highlighting the path done to position themselves in relation to the NHS and play an effective role for their insured workers.
