This paper proposes the hypothesis of a physiological thought of pre-verbal and sensory-motor origins. Since birth, in fact, everyone develops an unconscious motor-sensory vocabulary for creating relationships and these pre-semantic be-havioral patterns can be a real thought. In this way, for the first time, thought leaves the mind and becomes embodied. The hypothesis of a physiological thought can be useful in offering an additional clinical way for explaining some functional deficits in the subject and ambient interactions. This hypothesis, more-over, appears congruent with the ericksonian therapeutic model which uses the body of the subject as a concrete metaphor of positive changing.
