The paper offers an overview of the studies focusing on religion and domestic violence, including the diffusion of domestic violence in religious communities, clergy attitudes, and the actions and initiatives promoted by Christian churches. The paper aims at providing an introductory analytical framework of the phe-nomenon, especially focusing on Christian religions.
