With the ruling that annotates, the Court of Rome recognized the non-pecuniary damage from a "ruined vacation", given a series of hardships suffered by a young woman during her "stay-study" abroad. The judge acknowledged that, in the case in question, even though the "purpose of study"was certainly relevant, the "tourist purpose" was also of no less importance, given that study trips entail the twofold utility of education and entertainment.
