Nature, science, law confront each other in a game of crossings in which all these forces are in some way exposed to the conditioning and pressures of the others. Nature’s ambi-tion to be a sort of objective and presupposed parameter falls upon the acknowledgment that «the voice of nature (...) is a voice interpreted by man». Above all, technology (the science in action) appears to be able to rewrite the boundaries and projections of what is ‘natural’. Law takes note of the new possibilities produced by scientific and technological devel-opment, and adapt its resources by ‘inventing’ new rights that change the social culture and the way of interpreting the world of nature and science. This contribution tries to describe this extremely complex framework of relationships, reflecting on a series of is-sues on the border between the three great ‘forces’ mentioned above.
