The paper presents an interpretative reflection of a survey about the migrants in Campania region, which was conceived as a thematic part of a broader description of the regional landscape. Data show how the paths of dwelling and working of the migrants shape a peculiar inhabited landscape, where it is possible to highlight a path dependency to understand features of the local mileu. On the basis of the survey, the authors propose some descriptive territorial clusters, arguing that they contribute to let understand migrants as a local resource, which could be opportunity for the territorial government and for politically questioning the two-way condition of guest/host.
Keywords: Migration, Campania Region, planning, landscape policies, path depend-ency, hospitality.
