The Italicus massacre is regarded as one of the main events of the strategy of tension. Analysing the context in which it occurred, characterized by a series of bomb attacks by neofascist groups, this essay considers the 1973-1975 biennium as a bridge between the two halves of the Seventies in the study of right-wing terrorism in Italy.
