Jumping in the circles. The idea that most of us have of distance learning is that of a boy or a girl in front of the PC, in their room. But what did the activation of di-stance learning mean with primary school children? Two years later, after the end of this emergency, after a fluctuating return to lessons in presence, this article proposes an attempt to give an insight on the topic of distance learning with the youngest students of the first year of primary school. This article focuses on the sudden suspension of the educational elements that characterize the pupil’s entry into compulsory schooling, the creation of the class group, the establish-ment of an effective learning setting. A tale of the experience we are still living that aims to understand if and how much it is necessary to overcome some consolidated methodologies of the past to leave more space for modern digital skills or if it is possible to arrive at an effective coexistence for the purpose of a new concept of learning. A temporary experience to be surpassed or an opportunity to be seized.
