The technological innovation that has involved the public administration since the 1990s and which has greatly evolved above all with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan aims to strengthen the degree of effectiveness and efficiency of the results of general interest, simplifying at the same time bureaucratic rigidities to improve relations between public administrations and citizens and businesses. This transition towards the digitization of administrations includes the possibility of arriving at automated administrative decisions through the use of algorithms which, for the moment, however, leave some doubts about the quality of the final result.
