The article, after showing, through the data, the growing importance of the issue of religious discrimination in our country and after a quick overview of the case-law from "environments" traditionally more multi-ethnic than ours in order to show how different are the potential reli-gious "frictions" in the workplace, dwells on the recent ruling of the Italian Court of Cassa-tion. In fact, copying - by the Court’s own admission - from foreign case-law, the Court has "transferred" to the field of religious discrimination a tool that until now had been granted by law only for discriminations based on the ground of disability: the reasonable accommoda-tions. The purpose of the second part of this essay is to discuss the legal correctness of this decision.
