The technological transformation has stimulated the renewal of an ancient and venerable discipline: pedagogy. It was born as a "philo-sophical science": a sort of "metadiscipline" that helped parents, edu-cators and trainers to intervene during the critical stages of the evolu-tionary age. For some decades, pedagogy has been part of technoethics in order to help trainers manage the paths of growth and learning in the context of "digital transformation". In Italy precious decades have been lost in the attempt to renew methods and contents of education and training within an outdated cul-tural and organizational system at the international level. For a few years now, we have been trying to remedy this by modifying curricula, methods and professions, but leaving intact the old structures and the disciplinary framework and the training of teachers. Technopedagogy must therefore find its way into a mixture of conservatism and ineffec-tive reformism.
