The link between psychology and cinema has always been strong, made up of the exchange of plots and roles. Psychopathology can be represented and, as such, studied through cinematic representation. It is now believed that the therapeutic function of the latter allows viewer to empathize and project their own experiences, as well as to get closer to and know the various help figures such as psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, often protagonists of films. A new figure not yet represented in the cinema is that of basic psychologist, defined and recognized by DM 77/2022 but still in embryonic stage.

Keywords: psychotherapy; primary care psychologist; complexity; cinematographic representation; subjective and objective reality.
