This article aims to investigate the status of the scientific literature on the study of quality, sustainability, and circularity of medical devices and to identify the main research topics. A bibliometric analysis of the literature was carried out to achieve this objective, and 927 papers were extracted from the Scopus database and included in the survey. The data were examined through descriptive, performance and co-occurrence analysis performed on the keywords provided by the authors in the articles. The research made it possible to identify the journals, countries, and institutions that most frequently published studies related to the phenomenon under investigation and to identify five clusters representing the topics of most significant interest to researchers.
